I’m happy to report that we’re in Sicily right now, restarting the season after what has been a difficult year. Our last trip was all the way back in February, and it’s incredible to think about how much the world has changed since then.
Meticulous hand hygiene and face masks are now a part of our daily routine, and we all know how important it is to follow social distancing guidelines. It can be an inconvenience at times, but not a stop sign. If we do things the right way, we can still get out there and enjoy the things we love most: The company of friends and family, good food, the great outdoors, even travel.
Those of you who have traveled with us before will know first-hand the great lengths to which our mechanics and soigneurs go to keep everything spotlessly clean. It’s ingrained in our culture and comes from our background on pro teams, where riders often get sick as the demands of racing weakens their immune systems.
It’s why we’ve always stockpiled hand sanitizer, why we wash bikes and our vehicles daily, and why we thoroughly clean and disinfect water bottles after every use. No one in the business pays more attention to those details, and I’ve always been proud of that fact.
With Covid-19, we knew we’d have to go further, and so after months of training and consultation we’ve adopted even more strict protocols to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. Our new Clean & Safe program has been built to guarantee the safest possible environment in which to enjoy the inGamba experience.
For the rest of the season we will be doing trips both in Europe and the US, and we’re planning a few new destinations in order to give you both the flexibility and the confidence to travel, knowing that your safety is our top priority.
