Imagine dipping your toes in the ocean, taking a boat ride along the stunning Italian coast, and experiencing a thrilling descent into the picturesque town of Castelsardo.

That’s just the beginning of what Sardinia has to offer. From unforgettable days in the saddle, riding through the island’s magnificent rocky landscape, to making new friends and spending quality time over dinner with old ones, Sardinia is a place that leaves a lasting impression.

One of my most cherished memories was standing atop a hill, overlooking the breathtaking area around Castelsardo. The view left me awestruck and reminded me of all the wonderful reasons we travel.

Sardinia is a magical place that has so much to offer, especially for a curious cyclist. The perfect weather, stunning landscape, and welcoming people make it an ideal destination. Not to mention the scrumptious local food culture and luxurious accommodations that await you.

I still get goosebumps when I recall our many stops at gelato shops, enjoying the countryside, and savoring slices of pizza al fresco on the coast.

I had the pleasure of visiting Sardinia just before the pandemic and it proved to be my last overseas inGamba trip for two years. But the memories are still fresh in my mind and I can’t wait to go back in 2024. And trust me, there’s a lot of inGamba adventure, and plenty of pizza, waiting for you on that little island between the Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian seas.

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s explore Sardinia together!

Katie loves all aspects of the Mangia, Bici, Beve life, and the likeliest place you'll catch her is somewhere in the sun with a beer in hand following a bike ride. Having been part of the inGamba team for six years, she has been to nearly all destinations and trips that inGamba offers. Katie finds a lot of joy in bringing our community together and helping to create lifelong bonds. While on trips, you can frequently see her stopping to take photos of the group or bringing beers to her fellow travelers after a ride. But she also knows how to climb.
