Lead Guide
Handmade pasta with rich Tuscan ragù, Fiorentina steak grilled on open fire, pecorino with Chianti honey, fresh pici, local truffles, artisan breads baked in Borgolecchi’s own oven.
Chianti Classico from our neighbouring vineyards, Brunello di Montalcino, Super Tuscans, Vin Santo with cantuccini, espresso from our La Marzocca, and nightly Aperol Spritz at sunset.
The ultimate women’s only week of cycling.
This is our women’s-only Tuscany trip, and everything that makes this journey so special — the riding, the food, the wine, the people — is experienced exclusively in the company of women who know that the best adventures are better shared with the right crowd.
Back when he was still a professional cyclist, our founder João Correia sat outside the cafe that now faces our pristine service course, dreaming of sharing this incredible place with like-minded travellers. That dream became inGamba, and Tuscany remains its beating heart.
Riding in Chianti is something you have to experience to truly understand. Sweeping panoramas, winding ribbons of perfect tarmac, challenging climbs and thrilling descents — and the rare luxury of hours in the saddle without another car in sight. When you do encounter the locals, they’re warm, proud, and always eager to share a taste of what makes this place so special. Artisans, winemakers, culinary masters — the people of Tuscany give it much of its charm, and over the course of the week you’ll get to meet them properly.
We know every inch of these roads like the back of our hands. We know where the light is best in the morning, which climb deserves a moment at the top, and where to find the table that will make the whole day feel complete. Join us for a week that’s entirely your own — and leave already wondering when you can come back.
Travelling with a Non-Rider?
Borgolecchi is a destination in itself. Non-riding companions can enjoy a full programme of cultural experiences, relaxation, and Tuscan exploration while you’re on the bike.

Your Week In Classic Tuscany
IL GIRO DEL BARONE - SHAKE DOWN
Benvenuti in Italia! Our first ride is an easy spin to shake off the cobwebs, but it’s also very pretty, heading south through the quiet Chianti countryside until San Giusto Alle Monache. There, we’ll loop back north, passing the stunning Castello di Brolio on the hill above San Regolo and finishing on our home climb up to Lecchi. This is the time to make sure everything with your bike is perfect – if something’s not quite right, let a mechanic or a guide know and we’ll be sure to fix it before the tough riding begins.
CASTELLINA
This morning we will climb toward the town of Radda before turning to Castellina. The earliest definition – in 1716 – of the wine area of Chianti, Lega del Chianti, is the region we explore on today’s ride. This will be a day of truly incredible views from the bike, especially after our left turn in the town of Colombaio at 35km, where the roads open up to provide plenty of quintessentially Tuscan views.
DUDDA
Although this region is always hilly, today’s ride includes more sustained climbing. After reaching the town of Panzano, we’ll start to really climb, rolling on some tiny roads with great views to the north towards Florence. After the summit, our Cima Coppi of the week, there’s a long, technical descent out of Albola that will test even the most-experienced riders. Don’t forget to enjoy the scenery.
Volpaia COFFEE RIDE
This is a relaxed route inspired by the traditional coffee shop ride taken by inGamba’s founder, João Correia, when he was a professional racer. We’ll encounter gentle rolling hills and ample time for on-the-bike conversation as we ride to Volpaia, a small fortified village also known as Castello di Volpaia in Italian. Renowned for being the hometown of the della Volpaia family, clock and instrument makers, Volpaia is a place steeped in history. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a captivating walking tour of Siena, a medieval city nestled in the heart of Tuscany. Siena, renowned for its timeless charm and rich history, beckons us to explore its narrow, winding streets that lead us to the magnificent Piazza del Campo, the shell-shaped central square that hosts the thrilling Palio horse race twice a year.
MONTELUCO BADIACOLTIBUONO
Expect gentle rolling hills and plenty of time for on-the-bike conversation as we make our way up to the castle of Monteluco di Lecchi. From this medieval fortress that dates back to 1176, you can see the whole Massellone Valley.
CRETE SENESI
Today’s ride will take you south toward the town of Montalcino where the rolling Tuscan clay-colored views of postcards will be in full effect. This is the Crete Senesi, a region known for its production of white truffles. The highlight of our ride is the ridge south of Arbia.
Departure - The Last Day
This is our final morning together and after a leisurely breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye, or at least arrivederci, until we meet again. Transfers to the airport will be arranged by our hard-working crew but if you’re planning on staying a few extra days, let us know if we can help with reservations or a few recommendations.
The Storyteller
You may hear sweet clarinet notes wafting toward your window at Borgolecchi, as our resident aristocrat practises his newfound love. We’re never quite sure if all of his stories are based in reality, but they are without doubt highly entertaining.
Giorgio is a supportive presence, encouraging you during challenging climbs and joining you in races if you’re up for it. His philosophy revolves around embracing life to the fullest and seizing every moment.
”"We're specifically trying to give our guests the closest experience of what it means to be in a pro team, at any speed."
A literal WorldTour service.
With years of experience in the professional peloton, our mechanics and soigneurs bring WorldTour-level care to every detail of your ride. Up to five mechanics work meticulously each day to ensure your Pinarello is perfectly tuned and adjusted for you alone—not just race-ready, but dialed to your precise preferences. Meanwhile, our soigneurs draw on their own experience as professional riders to anticipate your needs before you voice them: bottles filled and positioned exactly right, ride food prepared and timed to fuel you through the hardest climbs, post-ride massages that ease tired muscles, and the kind of quiet, confident support that prepares you mentally and physically for whatever the road brings next. This is the care that once belonged only to the pros. With inGamba, it’s yours.

Words from the road
”Everything was first class. The team took excellent care of us, and the bikes were in perfect condition. I also liked the roads we travelled, views were stunning, rides were the right amount of “challenging”, and the encouragement from the guides was really great.
Betty I.Guest in 2025

Am I fast enough?
Don't worry, this is our most asked question...
Guests of inGamba are passionate cyclists who love the sport and the lifestyle that surrounds it. Most of our community are experienced riders of all ages and various abilities, who appreciate great roads, fine food, and unforgettable company.
While everyone enjoys a challenge, no one’s chasing a pro contract here. Instead, the focus is on sharing incredible rides at a comfortable pace, soaking in the scenery, and enjoying the journey. You’ll find more “middle of the pack” and “social” riders than hard chargers at the front, and with our exceptional staff-to-guest ratio, every rider is fully supported, no matter their speed or style.
