A few weeks ago, I was having a conversation with someone I’ve known through the span of my career in cycling and he asked me: “What do you think you’re best at?” Without too much of a pause, I replied: “I love building community and connections through cycling. I hope it’s something that people value, and that others would say I’m good at.” This Friday is International Women’s Day, and I’ve been thinking a bit more about that conversation in terms of the incredible community that I’ve found amongst other female cyclists.

With that in mind, I want to thank the many women that I’ve connected with over my first year at inGamba. Be it the women who were previously part of the inGamba family or ladies who were new to the community, I want you to know how much of a pleasure it was to be in touch with you and to be a small part of making your dream trip a reality. I feel like I’ve made a lot of firm friends and I have many happy memories from the last year.

I feel very fortunate to experience those bonds and special moments and I’m hopeful to continue to experience them on a more frequent basis as more women embrace cycling as part of their lives. There are few things that make me happier than seeing our community realize their cycling dreams.

So in honor of International Women’s Day, I want to share a few of my favorite trips on our calendar that I’d love to see more women participating in. Whether you’re a lady looking to travel, or you know one who would welcome a little inGamba in their lives, these trips are perfect.

There is heart and soul to everything we do at inGamba, from the routes we select to the wine lists at the dinner table. Probably the most significant piece of what we believe in, however, is that relationships and connections are integral to everything we do. So, cheers to the ladies of inGamba, and thanks for inspiring me with all you bring and contribute to our family.

Women’s Week with Heidi Swift

Be part of this annual tradition with the remarkable Heidi Swift. You will have stories and girlfriends to last a lifetime – and a complete insider’s glimpse into the best roads in northern Portugal.

Verona and the Stelvio

The Stelvio is Italy’s most iconic climb. Last summer I did it and I enjoyed a bratwurst and beer at the top and it was a dream that I know is shared by many ladies. No better time to check off a bucket list climb than the summer of 2019.

Alentejo, Portugal

Looking for some wide open spaces? Look no further than the rolling countryside of Alentejo. Dreams and perfect roads lie ahead on the horizon.

Tuscany (any trip!)

This is inGamba’s home and also where I did my first trip in 2015. I arrived as someone who was an occasional cyclist to someone who completely embraced the sport and the spirit of inGamba and never looked back. This trip is for the newbie, the couple, the diehard… in short, it’s for any lady who loves the freedom of two wheels.
