Considering an inGamba tour with a few of your friends? It might be time to go private!

Private trips are among our favorite to plan: There’s a reason we have groups of friends and families who return to inGamba annually, keen to spend a week with those close to them riding bikes in new locations, on the best roads, to the best scenic vistas, or finishing a great ride with the perfect post-ride food and drink. Whether you’re planning a milestone birthday and want to celebrate with loved ones on two wheels, or want to make memories with your favorite riding buddies, we’re here for you. Our guides and our trip planners take their jobs seriously, because to us, you’re part of the inGamba family, and we want to make sure that we’re providing your family with the trip of a lifetime.

Private trips are inGamba’s secret weapon: Trips designed specifically for your group, based on your riding preference, ideal daily schedule, and favorite roads to travel. Whether it’s a coastal adventure in Portugal that challenges your legs every day or a fun-filled jaunt through Tuscan wine country with plenty of pauses to take in scenic vistas (and maybe a wine tasting or two), the perfect adventure is waiting for you.

Private trips are ideal for groups of eight or more, ranging from full family reunions with multiple generations of riders (some aided by e-bikes) to work retreats with a bike-loving CEO helping employees develop the same love of the ride. (The daily massages don’t hurt, either!)

Hoping to honeymoon on the bike or looking for the perfect father/son bonding trip? We’re happy to put together very exclusive private trips for intimate groups–or even a trip for the solo traveler who likes to have their downtime to be on their own.

Our private trips can help you have your dream vacation: Whether you’re looking for big miles or more meandering, low-key ride routes, we plan each private trip in exquisite detail to ensure that it’s exactly what you want.

We’re now planning private trips into 2026, with limited slots left in 2025, so if you’ve been contemplating a dream vacation, now is the time to start planning!

Ready to plan your trip? Ask these questions first

While our inGamba concierge can help you find the perfect riding destination and craft the ideal itinerary, it can be helpful to think about what would make your trip absolutely perfect. Questions to ask yourself and your riding buddies include:

  • What kind of riding do you want to do? Are you looking for big climbs, fun descents, casual coastal jaunts?
  • Are there any dream cycling events you’d love to watch unfold in real life, like Paris-Roubaix, the Tour of Flanders or Strade Bianche?
  • Are there any non-cycling adventures you’d like to include, like sailing, hiking, shopping, spa days or specific towns or cities you’ve dreamt of exploring?
  • Are you looking for big miles and an adventure that will help you build a base for the season ahead, or are you looking for lower volume and maximized fun with friends?
  • Are any of your friends going to prefer doing the trip on an ebike rather than a standard bike? (This can be a great way to equalize the group if you have mixed abilities.)

Our Favorite Destinations for Private Trips

As inGamba’s tour offerings have grown, we admit to having a few new favorite destinations for private groups. Our top three right now:

  • For the serious cyclists: Calpe is the place to go in the winter for warm weather riding and big base miles. The coastal town is gorgeous, and it’s the best place to see your favorite pros on the local climbs. Heck, you may even spot them at the breakfast buffet at the hotel!
  • For the laid-back family gatherings: It’s hard to beat our bed and breakfast at Borgolecchi in Tuscany. It’s a beautiful little town and the coziest villa you can imagine, perfect for leisurely family dinners and relaxing post-ride patio hangouts. Sienna is a short drive away if you want a day in the city, and vineyard tours and wine tastings are pretty much unlimited.
  • For the cycling fanatics: Get in touch and let us know your dream race to ride and spectate! We’ve done trips for Strade Bianche, Paris-Roubaix, Flanders and many others, and if you’ve ever wished that you could be there in person to watch Mathieu Van der Poel sprint for a finish line, we can make that wish come true—possibly with his father, cycling legend Adrie Van der Poel, talking your through the strategies and tactics the teams are using.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR PRIVATE TRIP!
