If you’re planning to join us for an inGamba trip, you may be torn about the type of bike tour you need. While every inGamba tour features incredible riding on beautiful roads with stunning scenery, and every inGamba trip includes the best local cuisines and wines, every trip has its own unique flavor. Depending on the kind of riding you love to do—or are hoping to do on this particular adventure—there are different trips that will appeal to your preferences.

Looking for hard climbs and epic vistas? The Dolomites may be your perfect trip. Craving something a bit more homey? Join us on our flagship Chianti Classico trip to be treated like family at our home in Borgolecchi. Craving a racing experience combined with riding? Consider joining us for one of the Classics at Flanders or Paris-Roubaix.

Here, we’re breaking down a few trip styles and our recommendations for making sure you’re on the trip of your (current) dreams.

Looking for pristine roads to ride, and luxury in the evening?

Again, every inGamba trip has a luxury element to it: We visit exclusive vineyards, the best restaurants you’ve never heard of, and stay in places you’ve dreamed of for years. But our trip to the Algarves in southern Portugal takes luxury to the next level: You’ll stay in exquisite 4 and 5-star accommodations like the beachfront Porto Covo Praia Hotel, the serene Praia do Canal Nature Retreat, and the mountaintop oasis of Pure Monchique Hotel… and ride some of the best roads in the area during the days.

Looking for big miles, big climbs, big days on the bike?

While every inGamba ride is as intense as you choose to make it, there are a few trip options that lend themselves towards pushing your limits on the bike with big climbs and big days in the saddle. Consider a trip to the Dolomites in Italy, where you’ll climb some of the biggest, most well-known mountains in the cycling world. If it’s base miles you’re hoping to build later in the year, Calpe is the destination of the pros for winter training, and you’ll be treated to a pro level experience.

Looking for racing excitement combined with riding?

Join us for one of our bucket list race trips to ride and then watch famed Spring Classics including the Tour de Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and Milan-San Remo. These trips aren’t led by just any guides—they’re led by two legends: Eros Poli, Olympian and champion of Mont Ventoux, and the one and only Adrie Van der Poel (yes, father of Mathieu Van der Poel and a former World Champion in his own right). It doesn’t get more VIP than this—book soon because these fill up well in advance.

Looking for a relaxed trip that feels like you’re with family?

Join us in Tuscany for one of our Chianti Classico trips, where you’re not just treated like family, you become family. From big family dinners at the giant table to relaxed rides on the best (often secret) roads in the area, this is one trip where you have no choice but to feel utterly relaxed—and tired, because if you want to push yourself on the bike, don’t worry: There are plenty of big climbs and fast flats for you to do so!

Bringing a non-riding partner or friends who may need an off-bike day?

If you’re traveling with a cyclist who may need more days off or you’re bringing a non-riding partner, we recommend the Azores, Provence, Dolomites and Stelvio trips, since on these, we’re staying in fabulous hotels with luxury amenities like spas and guided activities outside of inGamba’s offerings.

Of course, the Chianti Classico is a great option for this too. Our B&B at Borgolecchi is world-class when it comes to relaxation. The town of Lecchi is small, but if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing trip with plenty of beautiful scenery, this one is hard to beat. And because this is our B&B, your non-rider will feel right at home and there will always be a staff member around to help find a snack or offer tips on where to head out on a long walk.

LET’S TALK TRAVEL!
