Le Panzanelle: a tuscan treat

July 28th, 2015 - Colin O'Brien

Stuffed tomatoes or seasoned pork to start? Or how about a fresh goats cheese salad or some bruschette? Life is full of difficult choices. By the time you reach the pasta course it’s a real dilemma. The rabbit and vegetable sauce seems an obvious choice, but the wild boar doesn’t look bad either. There’s also that seafood lasagna that isn’t on the menu to consider. Read More

The Maratona dles Dolomites: a ride like no other

June 29th, 2015 - Colin O'Brien

It’s hard to fathom what lays ahead, in the pure darkness preceding dawn. The mountains are pitch black, their jagged outline just decipherable against the slowly brightening sky. Davide Cassani: Ride the Dolomites with an Italian legend

June 11th, 2015 - Colin O'Brien

Davide Cassani might be the most famous Italian cyclist you’ve never heard of. In his homeland, he was well-loved as a gregario to some of the best riders of the 1980s and 90s, and as a stalwart of Alfredo Martini’s great Italian national teams at the Worlds. A native of Faenza in the province of Ravenna, in his pomp he could be seen alongside the likes of Claudio Chiappucci, Roberto Visentini and Stephen Roche at Carrera Jeans and Moreno Argentin at Ariostea. World Bicycle Relief: Mobility matters

June 1st, 2015 - Colin O'Brien

This is not a bike. This is a game changer for the young and a life saver for the sick and helpless. This is mobility, which in developing countries means access to a world of hitherto inaccessible opportunities. This is schools and medical treatment and a route to market. This is a future. Read More
