There is a specific kind of magic that belongs entirely to summer—the feeling of a breeze floating through open windows, the joy of jumping into a cool body of water on a hot day, and the pure, childlike freedom of an evening bike ride with friends. These are feelings that many of us know and love. Pedaling under the golden hour summer sky, it’s hard not to feel a familiar, euphoric rush that usually comes at this time of year as we embrace summertime. And all the bike rides- and fun – in front of us.
It’s also around this time of year that, at inGamba, we start our meticulous planning for our next season. It’s an ideal time for this given we’re about a third of the way through this year’s season: feedback is fresh from our early season guests, our guides have had time between trips to explore new destinations and the excitement of summertime has us wanting to keep our good times with you all rolling.
With all of this in mind, and as you kick off your summer, we want to give you a sneak peek into what we’ve got planned for 2027. Because just like summertime bike rides (and bikes 🙂) – the right number always seems to be N+1. We’ll have more of our 2027 trips up in the coming handful of weeks but here’s the summer scoop on what’s to come for next year (yes for the pun to ice cream):
In addition to many of our tried and true favorites like Chianti Classico, Northern Portugal, the Alentejo Catalonia and our favorite Italian summer climbing trips, we’ll be broadening our collection of French trips to include Burgundy and the French Alps.
By popular demand, we’re also bringing back early 2027 training camps in Spain and Portugal for those who want to get a jumpstart on bike fitness in the winter months. For those of you who have been with us for many years, you know that we usually feature one island destination each year and we’ll return to Sardinia for 2027. We’ll be doing more themed trips in Tuscany which we have carefully curated in the hopes they offer an opportunity for many of our community to more deeply connect to our home in Lecchi and, on the opposite end to Tuscany, a place that many of you return to out of ritual and tradition, we’ll be offering something that can be called more of a “trip of a lifetime” so stay tuned for that fun surprise in the coming weeks!
Furthermore, after listening to our community, we’ll be returning to Switzerland! And, we’ll also be returning to the Basque Country, which was a dreamlike trip just last week for our guests – with one traveler (who has done 10+ trips with us) telling Sergio after one ride that it was his “best day on the bike ever”. And finally,, we’ll also return to Schloss Elmau, a property we have come to love in Germany, and one that sold out three trips this year. Like good wine, we know some trips only get better with time.
There is a lot that can be done quickly these days. Quickly and rushed. But that’s not part of our ethos, and we’ve poured our hearts and energy into creating something that we feel embodies the best of inGamba. And we promise that our full 2027 calendar is worth the wait. Just like summertime.
So, open that window, grab your bike and head out into summertime. Just leave a little time to keep an eye out for our 2027 calendar. Because the right number is always N+1. For our trips …and ice cream scoops.
