That line – “fully invested in the art of living” – really spoke to me. It’s from what might be the summer novel of 2027…Theo of Golden. It was a phrase about Theo and his approach to life.
About a month ago I received a note from someone inspired to travel to Portugal with us this fall because of the novel so I decided then and there that I should read it myself. Without giving any of the story away, there were sections that I ended up reading a few times as the author describes the Douro River Valley, the patchwork of Lisbon and the beauty of the Portuguese countryside in such poetic ways. Coupled with the main character’s appreciation for noting small, beautiful details and taking time to invest in relationships, I couldn’t help but to make some connections between the novel and the spirit of inGamba.
As we look forward to our fall season, which includes returning to Portugal to host trips in our home country, and turning the page to the upcoming year and showcasing our full 2027 calendar, all of us here at inGamba hope we are continuing to create something special for you. An offering of spectacular destinations for bike rides, a world class team of friendly faces, a continued dedication to all things Mangia and Beve off the bike and our sincere devotion to create an environment where our guests, like Theo, can be fully invested in the art of living.
For 2027, we invite you to browse our full collection here. As shared in our “Summer Scoop”, we are very excited to be broadening our trip selection in France with trips in Burgundy and the Alps in addition to Provence. We’re also happy to be going back to newer destinations like Slovenia, Bavaria and the Basque Country, which have been welcome additions to our collection. And, we look forward to returning to revisit destinations we love like Switzerland and Sardinia.
There is much to explore in our 2027 calendar and some may be delighted to see a helicopter transfer included in one of the trips. (Can you find it?) and you’ll continue to see a few other itineraries pop up soon…like another 2027 women’s week in the second part of the year due to the incredible popularity of our renewed women’s series and a few more trips with special themes. So, keep our calendar bookmarked…and continue to refresh it!
We will also soon unveil an exclusive gift–our much-anticipated Early Bird jersey–for those who book early for 2027. It will be limited in number so do not wait too long to make plans.
So, on this note, as summer winds down, I leave you with the phrase “Fully invested in the art of living”. I hope you take time to feel that way in these last weeks of summer in whatever is on your agenda. And, I hope you feel an inGamba trip is something where you can do just that.
We look forward to helping you make plans for your next inGamba trip. Be it in 2027…or for those of you who feel a bit moved by Theo…we hope to see you in Portugal this fall.
