ABOUT THIS TRIP

inGamba Partners

Join us this November on a very special trip… Not only will you be riding in the stunning Tuscan countryside, we will be joined by Fausto Pinarello himself, the man behind the incredible Dogma F bike you will ride. Federico Sabrissa, Pinarello Chief Marketing Officer will also be there to give you an insight on their business and what they have planned in 2026.

Joining them will be an industry legend, Luigi Bergamo, the founder and CEO of our clothing partner, Q36.5. No one does cycling kit like this. Highly technical and always innovative, Luigi has led the way in cycling clothing design for over 30 years.

We will also have representatives from our partners SRAM and Zipp. From the SRAM RED AXS group set to the new ZIPP wheels, get the lowdown on how these products are designed and the work that goes into these.

All of our friends will be joining us for a couple of days so you will have plenty of time to get to know them.

Last but not least, we are inviting a number of our friends from the World Tour Peloton – watch this space to see who will be pacing you up that climb!

This is our classic Tuscany trip, the culmination of all our local knowledge and a perfect expression of the Mangia, Beve, Bici experience. Back when he was still a professional cyclist, our founder, João Correia, sat outside the cafe that now faces our pristine service course, dreaming of sharing this incredible place with like-minded travelers.

Riding in Chianti is characterized by sweeping panoramas, winding ribbons of perfect tarmac, challenging climbs and thrilling descents. You can spend hours here without coming across other road users, and when you do, the locals are always friendly. We know every inch of the place like the back of our hands and we promise that if you join us there, you’re in for an unforgettable adventure.

MEET THE GUIDES

Giorgio Valvassori

The Storyteller

You may hear the sweet, sweet notes wafting towards your window at Borgolecchi, as our resident aristocrat practices his new found love of the clarinet. We’re never quite sure if all of his stories are based on reality, but they are without a doubt highly entertaining. Probably the greatest tale Giorgio is prone to tell you is that he’s not really a cyclist. This yarn is not to be believed.

Giorgio is a supportive presence, encouraging you during challenging climbs and even joining you in races if you’re up for it. His philosophy revolves around embracing life to the fullest and seizing every moment. In Giorgio’s words, “I’m sure other good companies around offer great trips. But we’re specifically trying to give our guests the closest experience of what it means to be in a pro team, at any speed.”

Sergio

Sérgio Paulinho

The World Tour veteran

After an impressive pro career that started back in 2003, Sérgio Paulinho joined the inGamba team at the start of 2022 after his retirement. But we’ve known him for a long time, as not only did he race against our founder João Correia, but he was also a teammate of our star guide Manuel Cardoso back in the day. A two-time national champion in Portugal, Sérgio has also won stages at the Tour de France and Vuelta a España, and in 2004, he won a silver medal in the road race at the Athens Olympics. So it’s fair to say the man has pedigree! It isn’t the racing victories that impress us most about Sérgio though, it’s his personality, his friendly nature on and off the bike, and the fact that he’s always ready with a smile. That said, if you find yourself running out of gas on a big climb, it certainly helps to have someone like him beside you!

OUR SERVICE COURSE

The Service Course is where our mechanics and soigneurs perform their magic.

With years of experience in the professional peloton, they are dedicated to ensuring that your Pinarello is prepared exclusively for you. If you have traveled with us before, you know first-hand how amazing their attention to detail is. At inGamba, five mechanics work meticulously and calmly to tune and adjust our fleet of Pinarello Dogma F’s. They fine-tune saddle heights, clean the bikes, and make necessary last-minute adjustments every day.

Similarly, the soigneurs are like wizards, using their experience as professional riders to attend to your needs and prepare you for each day’s challenges. From filling bottles to preparing ride food, they ensure you are well taken care of, providing massages to ease sore muscles and preparing you for the ride ahead.

DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN

1

IL GIRO DEL BARONE

Sunday | 26km & 404m

Benvenuti in Italia! Our first ride is an easy spin to shake off the cobwebs, but it’s also very pretty, heading south through the quiet Chianti countryside until San Giusto Alle Monache. There, we’ll loop back north, passing the stunning Castello di Brolio on the hill above San Regolo and finishing on our home climb up to Lecchi. This is the time to make sure everything with your bike is perfect – if something’s not quite right, let a mechanic or a guide know and we’ll be sure to fix it before the tough riding begins.

2

CASTELLINA

Monday | 61km & 1,102mThis morning we will climb toward the town of Radda before turning to Castellina. The earliest definition – in 1716 – of the wine area of Chianti, Lega del Chianti, is the region we explore on today’s ride. This will be a day of truly incredible views from the bike, especially after our left turn in the town of Colombaio at 35km, where the roads open up to provide plenty of quintessentially Tuscan views.

3

DUDDA

Tuesday | 79km & 1,778m

Although this region is always hilly, today’s ride includes more sustained climbing. After reaching the town of Panzano, we’ll start to really climb, rolling on some tiny roads with great views to the north towards Florence. After the summit, our Cima Coppi of the week, there’s a long, technical descent out of Albola that will test even the most-experienced riders. Don’t forget to enjoy the scenery.

4

Volpaia COFFEE RIDE

Wednesday | 40km & 932m

This is a relaxed route inspired by the traditional coffee shop ride taken by inGamba’s founder, João Correia, when he was a professional racer. We’ll encounter gentle rolling hills and ample time for on-the-bike conversation as we ride to Volpaia, a small fortified village also known as Castello di Volpaia in Italian. Renowned for being the hometown of the della Volpaia family, clock and instrument makers, Volpaia is a place steeped in history.

In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a captivating walking tour of Siena, a medieval city nestled in the heart of Tuscany. Siena, renowned for its timeless charm and rich history, beckons us to explore its narrow, winding streets that lead us to the magnificent Piazza del Campo, the shell-shaped central square that hosts the thrilling Palio horse race twice a year.

5

MONTELUCO BADIACOLTIBUONO

Thursday | 64.8km & 1,469m

Expect gentle rolling hills and plenty of time for on-the-bike conversation as we make our way up to the castle of Monteluco di Lecchi. From this medieval fortress that dates back to 1176, you can see the whole Massellone Valley.

6

CRETE SENESI

Friday | 84km & 1,260m

Today’s ride will take you south toward the town of Montalcino where the rolling Tuscan clay-colored views of postcards will be in full effect. This is the Crete Senesi, a region known for its production of white truffles. The highlight of our ride is the ridge south of Arbia.

7

DEPARTURE

This is our final morning together and after a leisurely breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye, or at least arrivederci, until we meet again. Transfers to the airport will be arranged by our hard-working crew but if you’re planning on staying a few extra days, let us know if we can help with reservations or a few recommendations.

IN THE PRESS

We are proud to have been featured in some of the world’s finest publications.

The latest version of the DOGMA features an advanced fiber with remarkable tensile strength, which enables Pinarello to improve the bike’s lateral stiffness performance. With this enhancement, the New DOGMA F is engineered to tackle any road challenges, establishing itself as a reliable option for all kinds of rides.

In addition, it comes equipped with the new SRAM RED AXS, the lightest electronic groupset to date. The controls have been redesigned to offer smooth, comfortable ergonomics for a wide range of hand sizes. What makes this groupset stand out is the effortless braking, allowing for one-finger braking with minimal effort. The RED brakes now require 80% less effort when braking from the hoods and 33% less effort from the drops, delivering more power and reducing hand fatigue.
