Day by Day Breakdown

Welcome to Italy! Lake Garda should need no introduction, it͛s internationally renowned as one of the most beautiful lakes inthe world. Its banks and the nearby hills are treasure troves full of small, picturesque towns and breathtaking panoramic views. It͛s the perfect place to explore by bike, especially because this is Eros͛ home turf, meaning heknows all the best roads. Today our test ride is short enough to let you get used to the bike, and make any necessary adjustments. But, also long enough to shake out any cobwebs built up during your flight

The largest lake in the country, Lake Garda is a perennial favorite of the rich and famous, who have flocked here since Roman times for the incredible views, calm waters and perfect climate. Our ride will begin with a rolling path at the beginning to the feet of the Lumini climb. A heart pounding descent to the lake.

Giro ITT: Trento Rovereto Campana dei Caduti

Today we join up with the 2018 Giro d'Italia for Stage 16, a 34.5 kilometer individual test against the clock. We will ride the shoreline Lake Garda to the top where the ITT finishes. There is a special monument near the finish of today's stage dedicated to those who died in World War I. Here will take in grand atmosphere, before shuttling back to our hotel for the night.

Barbaresco-Barolo is Italian wine country and today we ride the same route as the 2015 Giro d'Italia ITT route. The course is rolling with some punchy climbs and ripping descents. The views are amazing as we roll past vineyards and orchards. It will be a fun day on the bike.

Prato Nevoso

We're off to the see the finish of Stage 18 in Prato Nevoso. After railing most of this 200km stage consisting of fairly flat Italian roads the rider arrive at the base of the final steep ramp. We, too, get to climb our way to the finish, but just ahead of the riders, so we can watch the final fireworks. It was included on the 2008 Tour de France and was won by Carlos Sastre.

Colle delle Finestre

This morning the riders will take on 4 categorized climbs, including the much feared and beloved Colle delle Finestre. Not to be left out of the festivities we will also take on the Finestre and the Sestriere, before climbing our way to the Stage Finish in Jaferau. The Finestre is a climb where legends have been made and a few have been broken. The climb holds a pretty consistent 9 to 10 percent from top to bottom, with a couple of 14 thrown in for good measure. And for those who love the gnar, a stretch of this beauty is still unpaved.

Stage 20 is a 214km affair with about a 130km run up before hitting the Col Tsecore, Col de Saint Pantadeléon and finally the Cervinia. We will take a transfer in the morning to Donnas and then ride the long, gradual climb to the town of Cervinia where we will take in the finale of Stage 20. We will watch the finish from the comfort of our Suites overlooking the finish line.

Trip Extension Ride: Gran Fondo Giro d'Italia

The start of the 2018 Gran Fondo Giro d'Italia is right outside our hotel door. So we will roll out of bed, grab a bite to eat and join the ride. The route is basically a shortened version of Stage 20 of the Giro with the mountain top finish in Cervinia and should make for a great final day on the bike.

We are offering entries to anyone who would like to stay an extra day and ride the Gran Fondo Giro d'Italia. You will find details at checkout. Any questions please reach out to us at

Headed for Home

After breakfast we will say goodbye to Italy and take the winding trip down the mountains to Milan. After a week of chasing the Giro and riding some of the best roads Italy has to offer, we will be going home with stronger legs and great memories.
